Jaffna
The vibrant cultural capital of Sri Lanka's North. A fascinating region characterized by magnificent Hindu temples, colonial forts, remote islands, and incredibly spicy, unique cuisine.
About Jaffna
Jaffna is unlike anywhere else in Sri Lanka. Having opened its doors to tourism relatively recently after decades of isolation, it remains a beautifully authentic and unspoiled destination. Rooted deeply in Tamil Hindu traditions, the city offers a completely different architectural, cultural, and culinary experience. From wandering through ancient forts to taking a local ferry to explore remote, horse-filled islands, Jaffna is an adventure waiting to be discovered.
